Ikarus360 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 Part of the handover to Lima which was done today. Overall, a nice handover IMO. Can't wait for 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxubiJHNVb8 Quote
Roger87 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 Actually the handover was one of my top three favorite parts of the closing ceremony. Quote
LatinXTC Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 Actually the handover was one of my top three favorite parts of the closing ceremony. It was a better handover performance than the Toronto one in Guadalajara! Quote
neneu10 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 For me Guadalajara performance in 2007 was the best Quote

Ikarus360 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 I really hope Peru does good ceremonies in 2019. Their culture and incan inheritance are potential material to make an unforgettable show. Quote

Victor Mata Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Aside from the Spider-Llama, Lima presented us a beautiful handover and a long one too. It's a new, refreshing change to the repeated host countries of 2007, 2011 and 2015. Quote
Roger87 Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 Even comparing to some Olympic handover performances, Lima presentation beats them. This was a great effort. Quote
LatinXTC Posted July 29, 2015 Report Posted July 29, 2015 Even comparing to some Olympic handover performances, Lima presentation beats them. This was a great effort. I certainly enjoyed it more than the Pyeongchang and London handover! My god were those embarrassing! Quote
baron-pierreIV Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 For me Guadalajara performance in 2007 was the best I noticed with that Guadalajaro clip, they didn't use HDTV cameras becuz the images are quite blurry. Pity because it's really colorful. Quote

Tatsh Posted August 3, 2015 Report Posted August 3, 2015 Is Lima removing any sports/events? About sports, i asked to the fb page of Lima 2019, and they've said that any sport will be removed. In Lima 2019 the 28 olympic sports will be present + 10 sport reconozised by ODEPA/PASO, and surf. Quote

intoronto Posted October 1, 2016 Author Report Posted October 1, 2016 The head of the OC has resigned. None of the new venues are under construction and according to some media reports, Lima stands a chance of being stripped of the games. Quote
BTHarner Posted October 2, 2016 Report Posted October 2, 2016 It wouldn't be a Pan Am Games without venue delays and chaos in the organizing committee. Quote
