Well, I guess the unwritten rule of asian Olympics each two decades is still happening. Congratulations to Tokyo. Although Istambul was a more charming city at least we're assured we will have very good organized Olympics. :)

CONGRATULATIONS TOKYO. The best bid won. It was moving to see how much it meant to them. :)

Istanbul - the best city lost. You deserved the 2020 Olympics more than anywhere else, but your Government failed you. That is very sad. Istanbul 2020 would have been the most amazing Olympic Games. :(

contratulations, tolyo. so the IOC selected a stable, but expensive olympic host where no one speaks any english and diet cokes cost $13.

tok's challenges will be in getting us more excited for these games than we have been, but i'm sure they will be wonderful. after rio and sochi, the stability of japan and the lack of drama just proved too much for them to ignore, and deals a serious blow to the campaigning of madrid, which i suspected would be enough to get them into the final round at least.
