I was thinking the same yesterday. His professional life clearly doesn't allow for him to attend these sessions. He's just taking up space.

Well he is out off office as of next year.

Anyways, even without watching Madrid's presentation, I'm still convinced it will be Tokyo and Madrid on the final ballot. Tokyo's presentation is way better than Istanbul's so far.

I can't believe they voluntarily brought up Fukushima.

I think if they didn't it would seem like they are hiding from the issue and by mentioning it and reassuring the IOC is a good move (even though it might have been a lie).

Tokyo's presentation was better, but it does not mean anything!

Surely it does when an IOC member thinks about "who do I trust most?".
