Where was Le Pen going to have hers if not here? For the first question, I don't know, but I guess the candidates may choose the places. When Hollande won, I remember he did that speech on Tulle (His commune), where the explanade was smaller. And then, Le Pen choose a smaller place, in part because the people of FN vetoed the presence of representatives of the press like Le Monde, Liberation and others. In full irony, the majority of the Russian press was there with Le Pen.

Roger87
I said both sides (Males and Females), I warned that. And yep, France is a semi-presidential Republic since the foundation of the V Republic in 1958 with Charles De Gaulle. The creator of this new political system (Michel Debré) was the first Prime Minister. The President (Head of State) has equal powers like a classic presidential regime (For example: USA), but also as a different head of governement (Related to internal administration) France has a Prime Minister, which also serves as link between the President and the Parliament. It's an upgrade work comparing the Vice-president of the USA, as an hybrid of the European Parliamentary systems. In the crazy days of 7 years of presidential periods (Changed with Chirac by the 90s), the Parliament was from one party (center-right) and the President from another party (center-left), then the P. Minister was the vindication of cohabitation government for both parties. A nutcase in politics

JO2024
They're all talking about their fond memories of the 1984 Games, because LA's mayor was there and apparently two people from the Evaluation Commission participated in those Games. I bet it's not going to be the same when they visit Paris, and you all know why. That's why LA can wait a little bit longer. Paris has waited long enough.
