DamC
As mr.bernham said, the plan to revitalize Paris already exists, it's the "Grand Paris". The Olympic bid serves as sort of a catalyst for the different urban renewal projects and the new metro lines.
JO2024
According to a recent poll, 54% of the French want Paris to be elected host city for 2024, with 43% against. Interestingly, the same poll shows that only 40% think Paris will actually be elected, with 55% who think it won't. Ahahah, French pessimism.... (and I'm quite aware I'm exactly like that). http://sportetsociete.org/2015/11/02/jo-2024-54-des-francais-souhaitent-que-paris-soit-designee-ville-hote/
Frenchy
Not so much 'pessimism' as 'realism'. The French remember what happened on the three previous occasions and they trust the members of the IOC only as far as they can throw 'em! It's for the IOC to now show a clean pair of hands and show that they have - finally - got their act together and rooted out all the rotten wood....
Rob2012
It's up to the IOC to pick the best bid for them. As they did for 2008 and 2012. They have nothing to prove to the French,.

They may perhaps have nothing to prove to the French but they certainly have a lot to prove to any other potential bidders if they don't want the recent debacle to happen again.... yoshi
I don't want to do Paris down (I still think you'll win easily) but you're not the only bid to fit that bill. Hamburg & LA would both help win back Western countries to the Olympics. Although if you're talking about winning Europe back, I think it's between Paris & Hamburg. And Hamburg's big-building plan doesn't exactly scream of Agenda 2020
neige
it is given a map of the "pleyel" Olympic village option here: http://www.soignetagauche.fr/2015/11/02/village-olympique-2024-1ere-marche/ It is about 1 km from the stadium. neige
is the "cité du cinema" included in it? it seems it is.... it could be used as a restaurant and could provide halls for training.
neige
Here, it is the future "Pleyel" station which will be the main station of the area: http://www.societedugrandparis.fr/gare-st-denis-pleyel and a map of the area (where it can be seen the swimming pool and the stadium and I've drawn the olympic village location):
DamC
What it could look like in games mode: (the yellow areas are the athletes' housing, in blue is the Cité du Cinema, which would be used as a restaurant, in brown is the transport hub) I'm not sure how the IOC will receive the idea of an olympic village split in two with the Seine in the middle... neige
There are 2 schools included in the Olympic Village. (So, a lot of classrooms) Do you have any idea what it can be used for?

I don't think it can be a problem. The bridge is 100m only. And it can be quite nice!
baron-pierreIV
There are 2 schools included in the Olympic Village. (So, a lot of classrooms) Do you have any idea what it can be used for? Conference rooms? Could also be used as extra rooms either for athletes, their retinues or for Security forces being brought into the city. And they can always add an extra temporary bridge or 2 for the duration of the Games. Edited November 5, 2015 by baron-pierreIV

neige
With the 5 pavillons that are represented here, we now know almos all venues. I think only shooting and mountain byke are missing. And I'm still a bit desappointed Equestrian sports are not in the parc
neige
It can be seen the Tramway station (TEN) between pavillon 1 and pavillon 2 + all RER stations. it's also interresting to notice that the line 15 is mentioned. This line was planed for 2025 bit it seems they want to have it for 2024 if Paris is chosen. http://www.societedugrandparis.fr/#projet
