I would love to, and all going well will be in Europe in 2014. Only trouble is that I can see the Games being right in the middle of me wanting to be around Greece and Italy at the time. But I suppose that could be worked around.

Im thinking , from what I saw of Glasgow in 2011, that the city is really going to go off at night during the Com Games. Would be epic to be there.

Why would anyone spend 4 to 6k to go to the 2014 Commonwealth Games, when that same amount of money would get you a very nice (and longer) stay at either the 2014 World Cup or the 2016 Summer Olympics?

lay a bet...NZ goes to the polls while you are away. :)

I would've gone if work would allow me but I kinda saving for Rio. Still, am looking forward to a good medal haul by NZ. Wont be as high as everyone thinks as no Olympic events NZ does well in are featuring.

Did you get on to that job offer for being a country rep?

No i declined. Although it was a great opportunity, I am also at home to visit family, friends and to do other things whilst on holiday. This role would have taken up most of my time here, and i felt that in taking it up would mean not spending time with family etc enough.

Looking forward to going over for the first time tomorrow and will be commuting back and forward from my accommodation here in Edinburgh for the next week or so. Having come up here for the first time two years ago for the Olympic football, I'm confident Glasgow will pull it off.
