With Erdogan in Turkey ? Impossible, nobody in Europe want to do something for Turkey.

you never know with this international federation

the German Bid could also has some flaws, actually part of the UEFA requirements are against German laws. (like the tax exemption)

While someone like Erdogan can fulfill all the wishes of the UEFA.

Germany didn't have a problem with FIFA in 2006. What's changed?

Nothing. If there‘s a political will to bend the tax laws for FIFA, UEFA (or if ever IOC), it will be done.

Turkish Football Federation submits bid book to host UEFA EURO 2024

A Turkish Football Federation (TFF) delegation has visited UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, to submit their bid book to host UEFA EURO 2024.

TFF President Yıldırım Demirören handed over the bid documents to UEFA General Secretary Theodore Theodoridis at the House of European Football on Thursday.

...

The German Football Association (DFB) also officially submitted their bid book to UEFA this week.

In the upcoming weeks, the UEFA administration will start evaluating the final bid dossiers. During this evaluation phase, bidders may be required by UEFA to elaborate upon and substantiate their bids as described in their bid dossiers. As part of its transparent bidding process UEFA will then prepare a written evaluation report on each bid by September 2018.

On 27 September 2018, the UEFA Executive Committee will meet in Nyon to vote on who has won the right to host UEFA EURO 2024 in Nyon. The full voting procedure can be found in the UEFA EURO 2024 bid regulations (Annex A).

Woah, that's.....different....

Quote

AFL Architects has released images of a proposed overhaul of Istanbul’s Ataturk stadium as part of Turkey’s application to host the UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament.

AFL’s stadium design would see the stadium enveloped by a white glassfibre-reinforced concrete (GRC) exoskeleton with wind capture technology, allowing the stadium to generate energy. The practice said the design of the cladding takes its inspiration from traditional Turkish hats and artwork.

A first phase of redevelopment would create a new lower tier with concourses and player facilities built within the existing stadium structure. The second phase would rebuild the upper tiers.

Can any new countries enter the race now? Would've thought it was well over time for Spain to have another big tournament.

Spain bid for Euro 2004 but lost heavily, the end result was something like 9 votes to Portugal, 1 to Austria-Hungary 0 to Spain

I‘m shocked. What a surprise.

Not really though, even if the DFB has behaved very clumsily in recent months, in particular its President.

You‘re all welcome here of course :D
