GBModerator
The IOC has had first-hand experience with the city holding it's 2009 IOC session there where PyeongChang won it's 2018 bid. So the IOC (which are the ones that vote anyway) already know about it. And with bid-city visits no longer allowed, that's a leg up that Durban already has. This first-hand IOC experience can go either way. Have you asked any IOC members about their experience in Durban during the IOC session in 2011?
