ofan
Yeah, but in Jay Leno's joke, the punchline was about Toronto, not Rob. "Can't say I blame the mayor, since there's not a whole lot to do in Toronto". Well, he's right.
FYI
Well, he's right. Really? How so? Some of you guys describe Toronto as a "world-class" city. World-class cities generally have LOTS to do. I've been to a lot of places, but I've never been to Canada. Mainly cuz I've opted to go to other places, particularly for the reeason that air-fare going there isn't necessarily cheaper from the U.S. than say sometimes to Hawaii or even Europe. So I opt for the more adventurous, especially if I really want a culture contrast. But whenever I've wanted to go, Toronto has been the most intriguing to me, probably in parts bcuz it's Canada's largest city & seems more Midwestern than any other part of the U.S. which I'm mostly familiar with. Well I probably shouldn't say what I said. It's just that being from the city, it isn't as exciting to me as it may be to tourists. Toronto has a lot of international appeal and is popular amongst tourists, but that is probably due in part to the city's diversity and different cultural boroughs as opposed to tourist attractions. That being said, there is a lot to do in the city, I was just joking, and I'm sure that you would enjoy yourself here.
FYI
Or maybe IOC voters like Paris less, and Madrid more than gamesbids posters think. Yeah, that's it. I guess we'll see in a few months time if they get hot over Madrid's "austerity" bid. Well, it looks like that was a resounding NO!
