Nobody at GB cares about the AC! :D

Lots of NZ fans in the airport! :)

Must be torture taking so long to close it out! Today's another chance NZ has been favored for days and days and days, just gotta win one guys! Wish we were in your place, still got a huge hill to climb for oracle team UN, but it could happen!

Cheers to the day, good luck, may the fastest team/boat win!

really? So they're tied?

...on the water they have 9 but less the two point penalty...they have won the America's Cup! Lets see if Larry stops racing or risk going out again to capture another point. They will be appealling the Jury ruling.

:D Haaa Haaa, true...But this is what the 'Other International Games' section is for...Check out all the other 'obscure' sports here.

Really the Cup only was ever popular tween 1983 - 2007, got good coverage due to the multiple national teams that entered.

So much drama. Where do they appeal this thing? The CAS? I mean SF is a great legal town. Not only is the California Supreme Court here, but the 9th Circuit Court as well!!

Nah...it goes to the New York Supreme Court, that's were the Cup rules are vested.

:D CONGRATULATIONS ORACLE TEAM USA FOR WINNING THE AMERICA'S CUP!!!

On the water that is...but still need to make up 2 points to really secure it...

But Awesome Racing!!! It will have to end in the next two races.

Right. So there's no run-off, tie-breaker before that? That'll take like 1.5 years to get adjudicated. OH, I see...they're going to races 17 and possibly 18 tomorrow.

Race 18 & 19.

Right down to the wire...Oracle had to win 11, due to the penalty imposed...

Even if Oracle loses, they have still performed the biggest comeback in yachting history...truly impressive for a New Zealand built boat...

People keep forgetting that the America's Cup is majority crewed and managed by Kiwis.

If you cant get live tv...try AC on youtube, tvnz ondemand, nz herald live...

Race 18...pre start underway...Team NZ enters first.

But Oracle very good at starting in this....

Here we go...

Boom....Away they go...Team NZ have won the start at bullet speed!!

Both boats around mk2 close together...even as!!

Oracle with a lead just...Very fast. Going well...

Oracle is just far too fast...very good. At mk 3.

You know, there are like 60,000 Oracle World conventioneers in town this week. I don't know if that was planned or what -- but you got the City of SF plus those 60,000 conventioneers all sending their good thoughts and vibes to the US boat!!

Heheheh - I've been to a few Oracle World's - Ellison always was smooth and suave.

Looks like he's ditched them all this year, though:

Larry Ellison blows off Oracle OpenWorld crowd to watch America’s Cup

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison was supposed to deliver his second keynote speech at Oracle OpenWorld Tuesday afternoon to introduce some important news about the company’s Cloud Marketplace and the Oracle Cloud Database Service.

But Ellison was nowhere near the Moscone Convention Center because he was on the bay cheering on the Oracle Team USA crew as they tied up the America’s Cup finals, setting up a thrilling winnner-take-all match Wednesday.

Sports fans might understand – after all, in the exclusive, expensive world of yacht racing, missing this once-in-a lifetime event would have been akin to a die-hard New York Mets fan blowing off baseball’s classic Game 6 of the 1986 World Series to attend a routine sales meeting.

But this won’t go well with investors and customers who paid big bucks to attend the conference, and to hear directly from Ellison, not pinch hitter Thomas Kurian, Oracle’s executive Vice President for product development. Some of the thousands in the room waiting for Ellison got up and left before Kurian finished.

What a turn around. Money has helped but Oracle has just worked out how to sail their boat. Tomorrow is one race and the winner takes all. Oracle will be the favourites. Whatever happens I think Team New Zealand has done us proud. I am keeping the faith but are not confident!

What the F just happened today!!!!!! Can't believe this thing, is ending tomorrow. I'm on a plane outa SF sunburn and still a little drunk, was a fun day.

Can't decide if I shoul change my schedule AGAIN and come back tomorrow.....I really want to see the end, and see the best team/boat win!

It's been a dream to see this in SF, sorry it wasn't what everyone wanted or thought but everything I saw when losing or winning was inspirational!

Good luck tomorrow to all.

Who is the Australian guy who is always doing the press conferences for Oracle? yum hes nice :P

Haa...James Spithall.

He actually lives in Auckland when he isn't on the yachting circuit.

People forget that Oracle is based in , Walkworth...just north of Auckland.
