Fox334
Godamit, what the hell is wrong with the Canadian short track team? That's at least the fifth unforced fall while in a qualifying position...

Fox334
3 medals in short track, one gold, one silver and one bronze. Quite disappointing. We probably lost at least three medals due to falls.
Faster
I think it is disappointment all around. Korea won't win a medal on the men's side. Can't imagine China is happy with their results either.

Faster
faster, who destroyed your childhood world and left you unable to love and trust? what is WRONG with you? you're winning. I was talking about short track. I am too nervous to watch the hockey game. Krow, understand these Olympics from a Canadian perspective. The Winter Olympics are all we got, we are not good at any other major global sporting event. To look at the list of results and know that a few 1 in a 100 events (the Hamelin's 3 falls, that fall in biathlon, Chan making 3 mistakes in 1 f-ing program) are the difference between Canada finishing 3rd in the medal table and 1st. intoronto
Canada wins!! Canada finishes 5 wins against 0 loses in team events against the USA If Canada wins the team pursuit bronze, then at worst it will leave with 26 medals (tied with Vancouver). intoronto
Canada's men's short track team is going to go through a turnover. Hamelin and Jean are likely done.
JLishere
So Canada has jumped to 2nd in medals (ranked by gold) or 3rd (ranked by total). It's very close too : 1 gold away from Norway, or only 3 medals away from USA. We would have destroyed the medals table, had the short track skating team not fallen 5 friggin' times (among other misses).
Fox334
yeah that gold medal win must have been cringingly hard to watch. We probably lost four to six medals to falls, including some gold prospects in there. Three medals is the worst Canada has ever done in Short Track. LoveMyRaps
Ye the Short Track team really hurt Canada. Those 4 or 5 falls (especially the three by the Hamelin brothers together). Another huge dissapointment was Men's Ski Cross, we went in with three medal favorites came out with 0 medals. But Norway has by far been the most dissapointing country of these games. Sh*t happens, we've been doing quite well these past few days. If men's team pursuit wins bronze tomorrow (which won't be easy against Poland tomorrow) then we'll match our Vancouver total. We might be able to pass the Vancouver total if we win a surprising medal, like in 4-man bobsled or something.

Faster
Canada has chances in both remaining snowboarding events. Will need some luck and for the ladies to stay on course. Bobsleigh Canada has put all their eggs in the Justin Krippes basket, hopefully it pays off. Plus hockey and speed skating. Hopefully we can get to 27. Norway? They have more golds then in Vancouver. I think you mean Germany. Norway has had about as many misses as Canada.
Fox334
Norway? They have more golds then in Vancouver. I think you mean Germany. Norway had something like 18 world champions coming in. They definitively had the best odds of breaking Canada's 14 gold medal mark. Also they didn't even medal in either cross country relay, which is basically a national tragedy. ktoles
My god people. Quit the whining about the not winning X amount of medals! If you don't like it, then how about you try being Olympic athletes and seeing if you can't do better! We are ONE medal away from matching Vancouver! That's a solid result! The top 5 overall are stacked right near each other. These athletes are doing their best to represent us and do it as proudly as they can. They are to be commended, not chastised for it. I admire how strong they've come on and what they've been able to do. This is a successful games for us!
