intoronto
Anyone familiar with snowboard halfpipe? If so what are the chances of the Canadian men tomorrow?
Fox334
The two biggest competitors to Turski, Voisin and Christiansen, are both out injured. It would be shocking if Canada got no medals out of this event. Anyone familiar with snowboard halfpipe? If so what are the chances of the Canadian men tomorrow? It isn't an overstatement to say that it would take a miracle.

Blarghman
Hopefully we can get some good showing in slopestyle, looks like it could be a quiet day otherwise. Gough looks like she'll need to be good and get a little help from Hamlin to have a chance for a medal, and there really isn't much else of a good hope on the day. Maybe Harvey can have a big day in the sprint, but I'm not sold on it. A big game for Jacobs tomorrow, if he loses to Edin he'd be 1-2; not a disaster, but with Scotland and Norway still to come it'll leave him no margin for error against the lesser teams the rest of the way. Blarghman
Jacobs is terrible. Bit early to say that, he curled really poorly and still gave one of the favourites a close game. He's gotta find it fast, but if he can get the form he had at the trials again, no one in the field is on that level.
dave199
I'm hoping for a surprise medal in either the Men's or Women's Cross Country Skiing Sprints tomorrow. I'm very pleased with Canada's overall performance so far.

I'm very pleased with Canada's overall performance so far. Canada's doing exceptionally well - you guys might do what Australia did in Athens 2004 and actually outdo your own performance at the home games four years earlier. (2004 eclipsed 2000, 1996 and 1956 as our best haul).

ofan
Is there any possibility of a Canadian medal in Women's Ski Jumping? Our best hope got hurt, but Tanaka has been consistently floating around the top 5 in the training jumps so far.

JLishere
I'd be shocked if USA didn't dominate the podium for snowboard halfpipe. Shaun White with gold. Another silver or bronze.
Faster
Actually a lot of people think that another American is gonna take gold. Danny Davis. PS whoever said Dara Howell is a long shot. 88.8!

dave199
Canadians are #1,2 and 6 so far after run 1. Hopefully Turski can get into top 12 with her second run.

The amount of mistakes is astounding. That Italian had to wait about 10 people hoping many would fail and they did! She would have been so nervous. JLishere
So sad that she wasn't able to put a good run. Considering she got knee surgery a few weeks ago, I'm still amazed she's skiing at all. Finished 19/22. All eyes on Howell, Lamarre and Tsubota (sitting in 1st, 2nd and 4th) for the final in a few hours.
krow
honestly, i don't even care to see the finals. i'd rather go to bed and wake up for the women's 500m speed skating.

No one scored over 90 in qualifications and she just swoops in there! I hope that score holds up. Lamarre and Tsubota (2nd and 4th in qualifications) still have a chance for the podium.
