Fox334
Fingers crossed, but no major controversy so far. Looks like WTF did their homework and that the combination of a new scoring system, more strict non-combativeness penalties, electronic body sensors and coaches' challenge have really improved the sport a lot since Beijing. Fox334
Wow. So, men's 80+ kg weight class: 1. South Korea fails to win a medal in a Taekwondo event they took part in for the first time ever. 2. Gabon will win their first ever Olympic medal. 3. There is a strong possibility of an all-African final which would mean that every continent has now won a Taekwondo gold medal. 4. Also, London will be the first Olympics where South Korea has not won an Olympic gold in Taekwondo.

Also, London will be the first Olympics where South Korea has not won an Olympic gold in Taekwondo. Actually, Korea won gold in women's -67 kg. But Korea's dominance is over in taekwondo. They won 4 golds in Beijing, and now just 1 gold and 1 silver in London. Which is great for the sport. For the first time ever, 8 different countries won a gold in taekwondo, and they all won just a single gold each.
