markun
Well done to the GB girls who won their first Olympic volleyball ever last night. They lost their funding two years ago and had to go on a massive fundraising exercise just to get to he Olympics. To them that will feel like a medal! I was there last night. There was a great atmosphere from the hard core of fans who stuck it through for a little bit of British Olympic history. Really well done, the team looked thrilled and we were all very proud. BethnalGreen
I was there last night. There was a great atmosphere from the hard core of fans who stuck it through for a little bit of British Olympic history. Really well done, the team looked thrilled and we were all very proud. I stayed up to watch it and was thrilled myself. Let's hope they get some funding now and go on from this as well as inspire some kids out there to take up volleyball. My niece plays volleyball and will be so excited with this. Maybe she will play at the olympics one day.

DannyelBrazil
I agree, Brazil played really well and Russia made great moments too... But Brazilian team is a bit rollercoaster lately... High and downs... Still, a tough team to beat

DannyelBrazil
Baron, volleyball in Brazil is living the "replacing old talents" phase... It has been a rollercoaster for Brazilian indoor teams lately... I think Brazil have no medal chance in female and some in men, but not gold, for sure. gotosy
Italian spiker gets her engagement ring on the court London, Great Britain, August 2, 2012 - Saying “yes” to a fan on the stands has never been so impressive. At the end of the match Italy – Japan on Monday at Earls Court, the Italian wing spiker Antonella Del Core went to greet her boyfriend Francesco. She was surprised and moved when he gave her an engagement ring, asking to marry him. Tears, smile and the awaited “yes, I will” came just after. Del Core was a member of the national team in Beijing, but at that time she received a stop by the doctors. She succeeded to be in London and for sure she will never forget this match. She began the match in the starting six and scored 16 points, being one of the best of her team. Nice statistics for sure, but the ring will be the feature she will remember forever.
