Bohemia
It's weird, this flag which falls during the ceremony. Congrats to the Bryan brothers for their victory, but mainly to the French tennismen who won the bronze and silver medals.
Fox334
Unacceptable. Meh, after the North - South Korean flag mishap this is relatively tame Also, have these been good Olympics for Tennis or what? Two of the best female players of their era in the singles final (even though Sharapova had to lay down and let herself get spanked), a Federer - Murray rematch for the men's singles final, the best doubles team of this generation winning gold, and a home team in the mixed doubles finals versus a Belorussian team that contains the current number one female singles player and the current number one (tied) men's doubles player. Beijing felt like the first time that Tennis players really took the Olympics seriously, but it seems like it was even more the case in London. Seeing Serena after her singles win really show just how much players care about the Olympics now. If Rio has half as good a Tennis tournament as London did that should shut up the people that don't think Tennis has a place in the Olympics for good. dancingbrogues
Azarenka and Mirnyi beat Robson and Murray of Great Britain in the mixed Doubles Final It was looking good for a bit, but oh well, silver ain't bad, as the Aussies keep saying. And any more golds this weekend and I think the French would have launched their nuclear missiles at la perfide Albion, judging by the twitter fury at british success. Sir Rols
Just got back from Wimbledon - absolutely fantastic. Probably my event highlight here so far. Faster
So sad for Roger. I have watched his career from the moment he beat Sampras at Wimbledon and was really hoping he could add the individual gold. The irony of a Brit winning at Wimbledon but not winning Wimbledon is fantastic though.
