Today I was so sad when Tomás González got the 4th place on men's vault (yesterday he got 4th place also, but in floor)... I was almost crying... he totally deserved a medal after all the problems he has faced (the national federation hates him and has boycotted his work in the past years, had no budget and a lot of other stuff). All the people stopped in Chile to see his presentation just like if the Chilean football team was playing the final of the World Cup...

But for us, he's still a hero and his mustache won't be forgotten. :)

I wasn't able to see the Brazilian gymnast but congratulations!

The other day I was very sad when Diego Hypolito didn't qualified... he was so disappointed

What was up with Mustafina hugging an official after the final standing came up? I'm not claiming "fixed event!" obviously, but it was weird.

Thank you very much!

Yes, people is very happy in Brazil, but for Diego Hypollito and his sister, I never had many expectations over them.

They always fail in big multi sports events with Live Broadcast...

It seems they can't concentrate if they know Brazilians are watching.

Worse, Danielle Hypollito said she was bad during London 2012 because she was sad about his brother...

C'mon, where are her mental strength???

Anyway, they won't be participating in Rio 2016, thankfully, a new good generation of gymnasts will be representing well Brazil.

If I am allowed to give my opiniom, congratulations for the gold medal to the Brazilian gymnast, but I am still thinking that Chen Yibing was robbed by the judges.

Meh, I don't think it's simply sour grapes. The TV commentator (himself a gold medallist in Gymnastics) in Canada was quite surprised that the Brazilian won. But oh well, it was close and frankly either could have won it.

Really glad Brazil finally has a Gymnastics gold, to be honest. It was a long time coming and well deserved for the program.

Ended up being really good games for Mustafina - great to see her come back from that devastating knee injury. She didn't win the overall but she's still a multiple Olympic medallist and an Olympic champion.

Oh, and the four individual apparatus finals go to the four powers of women's Gymnastics: the United States, Romania, Russia and China. Typical.

Mustafina is walking away with 4 medals that's amazing! She fought so hard specially bc of her knee! Sad for Komova but she needs to grow up and work on her mental strength. The Americans did alot better than I expected, I believe this was a much stronger group than 2008 . Congrats. Nd so happy to see Catalina Polnor performing well nd winning a medal ^_^ Gymnastics was a huge event during this Games!

The Americans where fantastic this year. Really strong group. Shame the team event is now only five athletes, though. Six seemed to be a better number.

The think I'll take out of Artistic Gymnastic is how well the Canadian team did, though. Fifth in the women's team event? Wow. If this is a sign of things to come we might see Canada win a medal in women's Artistic Gymnastic in an Olympics or two.
