Gold - Le Clos (South Africa)

Silver - Phelps (USA)

Bronze - Matsuda (Japan)

With the silver medal, Phelps tied the record for most Olympic medals.

He matched former Soviet gymnast Larissa Latynina, who won 18 medals

I have to say that watching Phelp's family, especially his mother, react to his loss in the 200m Fly is my London 2012 highlight so far.

August 1 sees that the following events are for the Olympic medals:

- Women's 4 X 200m Freestyle Relay;

- Men's 200m Breaststroke;

- Women's 200m Butterfly; and,

- Men's 100m Freestyle.

Semifinals take place for the following events:

- Women's 100m Freestyle;

- Men's 200m Backstroke;

- Women's 200m Breaststroke; and,

- Men's 200m Individual Medley.

Yep. Swimming shows that Dan Hicks has emotion, which you usually don't see when he does golf.

Speaking of which......will Hicks do golf in Rio 2016? Or will he continue to do swimming?
