Ahh good...We can finally chase Australia on the silver total!

It looks like we have our first Silver...Valerie just can't catch the Belirussian.

The Belrussian has had an amazing set of consistent throws!

Valerie will win silver.

Its the psycology of it...First Loser. Where as Bronze is a 'yeah man I made it to the podium'.

Another blow is the 'now former' title. BUT she is still Commonwealth champ!

Yea... Mark Watson is an idiot commentator though... Wish they would have had Quinn and Telfer doing the athletics. Far superior than this chump.

Nah not that kok!...the interview with Lavina

Oh Boy...The aftermath of Valerie's Silver win is getting serious and fingers are being pointed at Dave Currie and a handfull of NZOC officials after it was revealed the it was Valerie that discovered the omission of her name from the official list.

It is now considered the reason why she was so distractd last night, being all out of sort. In the formal press conference Dave Currie was questioned why it took so long to correct the omission and the fact the IAAF had to sort it out...

This has the potential to overshadow what has been a very good games for NZ.

I have always been impressed with Dave Currie for his organisational skills, but something basic has gone wrong with this one. Very untidy. Yes the media will stick with this story. Poor old Valerie looked out of sorts and not her dynamic self. Her coach reckons it was happening about a week ago that Valerie was out of sorts.

Anyway she still won silver and her throw of 20.70m was further than what she threw 4 years ago to win gold. We must celebrate that. I agree and I hope this does not overshadow what has been a successful games for New Zealand so far. Lets hope we can finish it off.

With the 49er medal we have already matched what we achieved 4 years ago. Thats pretty good with many finishing in the top eight.

Van Velthoovan Bronze in the Kerian...joint with Netherlands, with all the technology in the world, too close to call.

End of the track program...On to the BMX track we go...Overall the cycling program is average but the competition has been white hot and clearly shows GB focussed on this for gold...

Oh and overnight Australia overtook us on the gold count.

It has now been confirmed that an Athletics official acccidentally left off the entry form, not just Adams, but many other athletes as well. Dave Currie did say the official mentioned is absolutly inconsoulable and has apologised to all athletes affected. It is believed the error was one of the components in Valerie Adam's off form performance yesterday.

Meanwhile TriAthalon NZ will launch an enquiry into why their athletes performed so poorly in the Olympics while winning 'world champion' events at any other time. They are very dissapointed at the low standings.

Oh god its Devestating! The place has just gone flat! Made worse by that prick of a winner.

Just inverview Nick...No gas in tank and very apologetic. Real bummer as this is the second big dissapointment in 24 hrs. And all the rucktions in NZOC behind the scenes.

Yes not good from the NZOC. Hopeless really. Very disappointing from them and their usual high standards. This is elementary and should have been one of the first things completed.

A real shame for Nick... Oh well. In better news the Womens 470 sailing crew won both races overnight to lead the competition with 3 races remaining. Fingers crossed.

Oh and a chance for something in the Womans K2 as well.

Other than what's mentioned above...Pretty much done in London.

As already mentioned...Some hope there.

Very depressing day at work and in town. Hope the womens Elliot crew can lift a bonus gold.

At least I can get my sleeping pattern back tonight.

Its the Womens 470's not the elliot crew who finished 9th.

Don't be down about Nick. Our Medal count will be at 10 tomorrow after the 49er medal is added and that is already better than what we achieved in Beijing! There have been some great results from the Kiwis as these games.

Oh yeah...Not taking away from the rowers and other go getters...

I guess the most talked up medal potentials not achieving...

And now to rub it in...the mens Blacksticks hit form...when its too late!

Who do you mean? The Rowers were probably the most talked up sport and with 5 medals and 3 gold they did pretty well. Nick will always be talked about as it is the 1500m race (You know our history in that event).

Valerie still won a medal.
