Womens Hockey team beat USA 3-2 to give them a chance to make teh semi-final. Would be an amazing achievement for New Zealand Hockey.

They must beat world number 3 Germany in their final pool game to guarantee a spot in the Semi-Finals

Fast becomming the Kiwi pin up girls...Germany lost this morning so the Black Sticks need to dig deep for their match up.

An issue that REALLY needs looking at is the Cycling programme...Seriously, the results are just NOT good enough with low place results. They desperatly need to build the new indoor Velodrome instead of whinging about what it will look like and where it will be finally placed. Invercargill's pioneering indoor facilities are just too isolated to be of real use.

Another not so great day for NZ on the water and Velodrome...It will be touch and go to reach that fabled 100 target.

Yes the track cyclists have been disappointing. Lets hope that Sarah Walker can do something in the BMX after finishing 4th in Beijing.

Our sailors are doing ok in Weymouth with the womens 470 holding silver and the 49er class in silver as well and the mens 470 holding bronze.

Also Kayak begins tonight...What a shame the admin of this sport has imploded. This is why we have only one compeditor.

As for that botch-up with Valerie's 'failed' entry onto the Shot list...Although sorted, you kind of think there's more to it.

Nick Willis looks good...And the Tri-Athletes have got daggers in their eyes!.Yes! This is more like it!!...and Australia still hasn't won another gold.

We have more than one competitor in the Kayak. We are represented in several events. Carrington is the only medal chance though.

Yes not sure about that botch-up with Valeries... I hope it was a genuine error and nothing mroe. There are certainly mind games going on in that event with the Belarus competitor throwing big this year, but suprisingly there is no footage of the events.

We are in for a big few days! Go Kiwis.

Phew! We are through...Even if PrimeTV screwed up the last minute by cutting out...Man did I leave the most abusive e-mail just now!

What a tense second half that was but an awesome achievement from the Black Sticks... First time into the Semi-Finals at an Olympics... Brilliant and a great start to Day 10!

K2 1000m into the Final...

Fouhy needs to retire and get out of it... Very disruptive!

And you know he's gonna blame everyone else...

K2 through but will probibly come last- but hope for the future.

Fouhy is the master of blaming other people. Has never accepted any support.

He had so much potential after winning the world champs in 2003 and silver in 2004.... It is a waste really.

K2 have hope for the future.

Lets hope the administration can get their s#hit together after the Olympics!

Great...The morning news will be carrying this moaner...I agree with some of his comments, but there is a better way to express them.

Sparc does need a review Yet Again! Especially as not all our expected to medal sports failed to fire...including the rowing fours, cycling, swimming and yachting.

Womans team sports deserve a look...very happy with hockey and football.

NZOC criteria was tough, but they have been proven right. London has proven to be white hot, even Australia has felt it!

Random question of the day...

As an American, I feel comfortable admitting that some national anthems may be very meaningful and patriotic, but are pretty much un-singable... I'm at the rowing on Friday, sitting by some very enthusiastic Kiwi's. They sang (er, made noise) loudly and proudly, but my gosh what a mess. Is your anthem really that un-singable, or was this just a byproduct of the large amounts of alcohol they seemed to have consumed.

She now in second to the Belarussian comeptitor who threw a massive 21.31cm compared to Adams 20.61! Valerie needs a big improvement
