Coverage in the US

You must not watch a lot of ESPN. They'd carried every single match of the entire tournament thus far (heck, they even showed some of the opening ceremony preceding the first match.. you would have loved it!) Unlike the FIFA World Cup though where some of the weekend matches are on ABC, everything is cable-only for Euro. So yes, the matches are all being covered, but only if you have ESPN.

To ESPN's credit, I'm very critical of a lot of what they do, but their coverage of the sport of soccer football is excellent. They did an outstanding job with South Africa 2010 and it's almost a shame they have to hand over the reigns to Fox beginning in 2015. Granted, I was very frightened of the thought they might wrest the Olympics away from NBC because that would have been a train-wreck like nothing else, but at least that one didn't fall into the wrong hands. More than happy to have them be the network of Euro 2012
