Stadium progress

Apart of Maracana Stadium, it's also curious for our American and European friends to see this car.

They must be think: What a hell? Volkswagen what?

Volkswagen Gol. (Gol is the Portuguese for Goal - from football). Yes, a car with a football name!!!

Designed in Brazil by Brazilians, made in Brazil, and a sale-success in Latin America and Middle East for more than 30 years.

The car showed is the 5th generation of Gol.

I had a 2000/2000 4-door VW Gol Generation 3. Loved that car!

Welcome to our very unknown continent! hehehe

This old Gol Ad is AMAZINGLY WELL CREATED!

Won prizes all around the world, it's called Steve Gump. It's a prime work for publicity!

Made only for Brazilian market - AND, MORE AMAZING, IN ENGLISH FOR BRAZILIANS!

Made by Brazilian agendy BBDO and recorded in Southern Brazil and Argentina (!!!)

My foul: The ad is for 2004 Volkswagen Golf, similar to the one you guys have in the Northern Hemisphere... Both cars exist in Brazil: Gol and Golf.

Mineirao is almost ready. I think will be the first to be opened

By now, Castelão still have the "most-advanced" status...

I hope they fight to see who will be opened first!!! hehehe

And I'm disappointed how the other arenas have been forgotten or maybe the works are just late? I don't hear anything from Manaus or Dunas

Mineirao is bigger so the rate is lower than castelao bc there's a lot more works to do (?)

Even Mineirao seems closer to completion.

And I wish they changed the exterior color. Black or white or blue ..

Looks pretty good for who is being criticized by FIFA (and international press) for delays. We are in 2012 and several stadiums are almost ready, airports and roads in works, organizing committee reaching record number of volunteers, new sponsors, high demand for corporate tickets...
