Bezzi 249
All the "behind schedule" stadiums of the World Cup 2014 Belo Horizonte (100%) Fortaleza (100%) Salvador (100%) Rio de Janeiro (100%) Recife (100%) Brasília (100%) São Paulo (92%) Natal (90%) Porto Alegre (87%) Manaus (87%) Cuiabá (85%) Curitiba (82%) Like Qatar, our World Cup is scheduled for the winter, but the winter here begins in June. Even so, the BBC World Cup site says we have six stadiums ready, but the construction on all other stadiums are delayed.

MrCatra 7
A fire interrupted the works at Cuiaba Stadium today. It was controlled by firemans but not sure how this will afect Cuiabá's preparation for the WC.
MrCatra 7
just checked the news: it was just some styrofoam panels in the underground area of the stadium that combusted. Luckily it was not a big deal. Uff!

Bezzi 249
Where's the stadium for Cuiritabaleza? Works in Curitabaleza are delayed and will not be ready in time, but Curitabaleza can be a venue for 2030 World Cup Argentina/Brazil.

Palette86 155
Bezzi,Where are the sea kelps of Porto Alegre ,they looked so delicious. And I see a light brown apartment is connected to the Curitiba stadium.(left down corner of 2nd pic.)Can the residents enter directly and for free?Or is this simply a part of it? Bezzi 249
The stadium in Porto Alegre is called Beira Rio (river edge), but it's actually a big lake. About the building, it's very close but there is no connection with the stadium. That part of the stadium was not there before. Some buildings that were too close are being demolished. MrCatra 7
I wouldn't be that sure about it, Mr. Pallette. But hopefully your positivism wont be proved wrong. Btw, is Mr. Bezzi a Gremista? Haha. Beira-Lago is what Gremistas call the beira-rio. That little tidbit of information sounded suspicious to me. Was that a jab towards the colorados, Mr. Bezzi? Oh, and Natal's stadium is looking really awesome.
Bezzi 249
I'm Flamengo. The picture looks like a sea. I just gave the correct information. The Guaíba river flows into Lagoa dos Patos and the stadium is on the edge of the lake, not the river.
Bezzi 249
On the stadiums, the one that surprised me most compared to the render was São Paulo. I'm iking more and more this stadium. Will do well in the opening. And I agree with Pallette about the tournament. I think it will be a great world cup in various aspects. The Guaíba river flows into Lagoa dos Patos and the stadium is on the edge of the lake, not the river. I know you gave the correct information. I was more curious about your intentions. "Is he a perfectionist or was he throwing jabs at the colorados?" That was my thought process at the time. Because only recently it was officially accepted that the Guaíba is not a River, just a big Lake, even scientists proved it was a lake since the 80's.

stryker 64
FIFA can talk deadlines all they want. The reality is all they can do is deliver warnings to the WC organizers. The only deadline that really counts is in June when the tournament begins. So some of the stadiums won't get to have to test events? That's something FIFA can live with.
