cslopes54
I found this to be funny and worried last week, it rains pretty heavily on southeast around this time of the year. This is a picture of maracana's roof . Mineirao has also been flooding, and I'm not sure if works has been completed, or it just takes time for the draining(?) DannyelBrazil
I found this to be funny and worried last week, it rains pretty heavily on southeast around this time of the year. This is a picture of maracana's roof . Mineirao has also been flooding, and I'm not sure if works has been completed, or it just takes time for the draining(?) Those crazy European alpinists (who are assembling the roof) decided to wear some speedos and have fun "draining" the parts of the roof not installed yet. The Brazilian media is mad about them, specially because they are not using security equipment in high heights... (yes, Brazilian media criticising Europeans for lack of security equipment - the world is going crazy). So they drained the stadium pretty quick. Looked very different last thursday.. Yes, everything is already clean... That's my always point... Why not show the pictures from two days after the rains? It's only interesting to show disgrace (indeed, Brazilian media behaviour with the alpinists: ridiculous). From BBC any other news agency website: Salvador stadium inauguration!!! ______________ Maracana, this monday: Vice-governor Luis 'Big Foot' - actually his political name in Portuguese Recife, last weekend Fortaleza, March 4th
Athensfan
It looks as though the roof of Maracana will be white instead of blue. Is this correct?

WorldCupJoe
I'm not worrying about Manaus and Natal. They have their deadline in December 2013 (if i'm not mistaken). So that gives them some 8-9 months to go.. They may be a little behind schedule right now, but that seems to be normal these days.
cslopes54
Manaus and Natal are the most innovative stadiums. My favorites even though bc these both capitals are somewhat "forgotten" among Brazilian media and the Brazilian population in general, I'm very excited to see the world coming to them. WorldCupJoe
I have to admit that, as a european, i didn't knew almost half of the host-cities prior to reading and writing about the world cup. Cuiaba, Curitiba, Natal.. never heard of before. That's the good thing about a world cup: getting to know new places and stuff...
