DannyelBrazil
Amazing pics from Mineirao Stadium!!! One of my favourites in the World Cup. In fact, all stadia makes me happy, except for Beira Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre. Still time to surprise me, but I don't like their project so far. In fact, all stadia makes me happy, except for Beira Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre. Still time to surprise me, but I don't like their project so far. Why? It´s a nice stadium. Looks a bit like the Nelson-Mandela-Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Overall I would say that all stadiums look very nice and for me they look much better than the WC 2010 stadiums. Overall I would say that all stadiums look very nice and for me they look much better than the WC 2010 stadiums. As I told you, the renders and the project didn't grow in me SO FAR. It's a refurbshment, but a very simple one... The roof seems so "Ok" to me... I don't know, I'm not that enthuasiastic. I'd rather Gremio Arena to be the Porto Alegre stadium in WC. But It's still plenty time to SC Internacional surprise me.
DannyelBrazil
Gremio Arena, BTW, is almost finishing its works. What a stadium! Pitty, it won't be the World Cup stadium, but a training venue...

DannyelBrazil
Thanks Dannyel for updates. I'm out of time to post the pics. You're welcome!!! We are missing your posts here, Bezzi! oh god!i love this stadium!i love the large space where the stadium sit on it! Yes, the esplanade they are placing around the stadium is getting very nice. Fortaleza' Fortaleza's Castelão Stadium will have a similar esplanade, that is getting outstanding too. Back to Mineirao, how it will look in few months. DannyelBrazil
Is there a render of Mineirao with the lake in the background? Unfortunatelly I didn't find some... There are tons of renders of Mineirao, but none with the lake... Maybe Bezzi can find one for us. Meanwhile, I post here other renders of Mineirao. Some really nice. paul
Mineirao looks like a version of Maracana, but a more angular version. The ramps too are similar. But Mineirao still looks like an older version of modern, and I like it especially with new materials and fixtures. It's lovely, and Brasilia is simply near heaven. DannyelBrazil
^^Both come from the same Brazilian brutalist era... That's why we see some similarities. Many stadiums in Brazil are oval, concrete-like and have same "style" because all of them were built at the same age...
