Athensfan
The US lineup is weak, weak , weak. I'm getting sick of it. It's been this way for years now. What does anybody think about the split of the coaching darlings of the ice dance world? No more Zoueva & Shpilband.
olympian
Gracie Gold is moving to the seniors for the US. Ashley Wagner looks promising. As for Igor Shpilband, i'm not sure i'll believe what's being reported. Though Pascal Camarlengo and Anjelika Krylova are pretty good too.

As for Igor Shpilband, i'm not sure i'll believe what's being reported. Though Pascal Camarlengo and Anjelika Krylova are pretty good too. Well, the split is factual. I have no idea about the reasons behind it, but Igor and Marina are definitely not a team anymore. That alone is big news.
olympian
Per recent ISU communication, the 2015 Skating Championships has been provisionally assigned to the following cities: ISU European Figure Skating Championships – Stockholm/Sweden ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships – Seoul/Republic of Korea ISU Junior World Figure Skating Championships – Pending ISU World Figure Skating Championships – Shanghai/China Source: http://www2.isu.org/vsite/vnavsite/page/directory/0,10853,4844-205151-222374-nav-list,00.html?id=1081 First time China is hosting World Figure Skating Championships and first back to back Asian hosting of Worlds. 2014 is assigned to Japan with either Tokyo or Saitama as host cities. Let's see if US will go for either 2016 or 2017, but most likely 2017 since that's the big worlds before PyeongChang 2018

olympian
Interesting! Shuting out NA. 2016 FC will be in Canada and 2017 world in the States likely. NA hosted 4CC last year in Colorado Springs. London, Ont will be hosting Worlds next year. No way will Canada be gunning after 2016. If US decides to go for 2017, Europe will most likely get 2016

olympian
US just hosted 4CC this year. Vancouver had it in 2009 as a test event for 2010. we'll see if they'll be interested. i doubt we'll see Australia hosting a skating competition after the Brisbane 2000 debacle. Shrek201
Well, the split is factual. I have no idea about the reasons behind it, but Igor and Marina are definitely not a team anymore. That alone is big news. Didn't know that. But not to worry; the coaches are only as good as their wards. Igor will team up with someone else, as will Marina. Their stranglehold on the top 3 pairs could only go on so long--altho it seems the US pairs will stay with Zoeva. I think the split should produce more interesting results.
