Olympic Fan Darcy
Got my Manchester book thingy today, its alright not much info in it, less then 70 pages 25 pages are advertising basically saying we know how to make right decisions which is why we are behind this! Doesn't speak much about venues or anything but still pretty decent wouldn't buy again rather save for another olympic bid book, can't wait for Paris one to come The manchester one came with these vignettes and the postage stamps were 2012 (WIN haha) so yeah Anyone waiting on stuff? Olympic Fan Darcy
Wow the book thing is actually a pretty good read. Talks about finances history of the games and manchesters sport history. Also talks why Manchester discusses other candidates and says Melbourne recently held games belgrade in chaos and wait for it too soon for Toronto and Atlanta 2 summer and 2 winter games in recent years (fail haha) it talks highly about Athens. Mentions if they lose not til 08 2000 they thought was Beijing dunno 2004 and then 2008 there's plus 1908 1948 so 2008. Close I mean 2012. Talks about how they built the first computer and fastest growif international airport in Europe. When I say talks about if they lose I mean if Manchester loses not if athens loses. Olympic Fan Darcy
Interesting stuff the marathon near Eiffel tower would've been cool and seems like the Venues were to be all close together. Really enjoying this book. Where did I chase you all too!
Lord David
Beach Volleyball would have been at the base of the Eiffel Tower. A comparison to London's Horse Guards Parade venue.

And i wish someone would buy that god for saken banff bid book sick of seeing it on ebay
Lord David
Who cares about Banff? They didn't then and certainly don't now. Calgary was always the bid to go with, not the mountain resort of Banff with Calgary playing a secondary role.
