Yes it did - it had a really quite fancy (for 1990) cgi flight over Atlanta highlighting the venues etc. 1 Quote

I found it years ago...the media file is out of date though and I don't know how to convert it. Quote
Olympic Fan Darcy Posted April 24, 2019 Author Report Posted April 24, 2019 Not sure if anyone is still around on this forum but just saw this pop up on eBay, I already have a set but thought someone here might be of interest! It's the Toronto 2008 Bid Book Set. It looks like it's missing the top part of the steel briefcase but still looks decent. Quote
Olympic Fan Darcy Posted April 24, 2019 Author Report Posted April 24, 2019 Has anyone added any new bid books to their collection in the last year or two? I got a fantastic London 2012 set a couple months back. Quote
thatsnotmypuppy Posted April 28, 2019 Report Posted April 28, 2019 I've been painstakingly gathering the IOC evaluation reports - I'm more of a fan of the failed dreams than the end result these days. Quote

ktoles Posted May 30, 2020 Report Posted May 30, 2020 Does anyone know if there is still an actual digital copy of the Vancouver 2010 Bid Books? The ones I had saved were on hard drives that are now gone. I found a scanned copy of the actual bid book but I'm hoping someone has an actual PDF digital copy that they could send me? If they have a link or can email me a copy please let me know. @intoronto do you still have a copy? Thank You. Quote

Olympic Fan Darcy Posted August 19, 2020 Author Report Posted August 19, 2020 After 7+ years of searching I am now finally the owner of a Brisbane 1992 Olympic bid book set. Very happy and it's in perfect condition. Quote
Lord David Posted January 23, 2021 Report Posted January 23, 2021 Anyone got any new acquisitions? I've got this on the way from Agon Sportsworld. Quote

Looks epic, definitely have to post some pics when it arrives. I've been adding quite a bit over recent years. The best being Brisbane 1992, Atlanta 1996 and London 2012. A few others. You? Quote

Most recently it was Vancouver 2010 (but not in the wooden presentation case). Incidentally, as part of the Agon buy, I got an Albertville 1992 set, but in French. Quote
Bknyc Posted August 5, 2022 Report Posted August 5, 2022 Hi everyone. I have a copy of the 2001 NYC2012 bid book (submitted as part of the bid for the USOC nod) that I'm looking to sell. The pages themselves are in near perfect shape, exterior case is a little worn but mostly fine. It's my understanding that is is pretty rare. I'm planning on listing on Ebay shortly but figured I'd also post here. Is anyone interested in purchasing? Quote
Victorian Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Does anyone have digital copies of the Adelaide 1998 or Adelaide 2006 Commonwealth Games bids outlining venue plans? Quote
SkiFreak Posted December 6, 2023 Report Posted December 6, 2023 Haven't been on the forums in ages. Just acquired my first bid book: a Calgary 88. Showed up at a Goodwill for $20, however with a couple other books, a music CD and a stamp card for $15 off purchases over $25, I got all four items for $11.50. Didn't realize how big these books were. It's not super thick but about the size of a medium to large pizza box. Anyone know how much the Calgary bid book goes for? Seems like there is a wide range for this one. Quote
LDM Posted May 7, 2024 Report Posted May 7, 2024 I have a Paris 2012 (not 2024) bid book if anyone is interested. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/326117821094 Open to all offers Quote
