Just going to quote the book. I'm just going to write was planned because i'm not sure which venues existed and which ones were games dependent. Archery was planned at Seneca College, King City. 50k

My letters, official reports, maps of villages and sports rules of Mexico 1968

They discussed gold coast But it was not part of the cluster plan it was all Brisbane not spread out to Gold coast

Brisbane 1992 Olympic bid book is 3 volumes pretty sure 3 books have just requested it and will pick up in an hour but may not stay til then so will check back in coming days. Pictures will be posted. However it may be like the Sydney bid book they had here which was just in a boring old book and photocopied (hope they have the real Brisbane bid book as it is the state library of the bidding city)

Wow. Looks better (physically, i.e leather bound) than Melbourne or Sydney.

Looks like the bid book seen on ebay is all of this, condensed into a single book, following the same design scheme and using some of the same pages as from here.

All in English huh. I assume much like the Melbourne one, they produced a separate version in French. Sydney's was bilingual.

It was really cool. Yes that single book has it all in it the others are summaries and i feel like there more something for the libraries as the inside is just pieces of paper with boring black writing. Yes the thing on Ebay is the one in the middle which is where all the images i posted came from. I'll post more tomorrow and you'll understand what i mean by the other two books being boring. However they have the same green outside so i am unsure if they sent it to the IOC members or what. You have to request on level 4 and wait 1 and a bit hours then read it there and return it can't leave with it.

Yup all in English there may be another bid book in french unsure.

Of course Brisbane and Melbourne would have had lower support than other cities. Those 2 cities had bid prior to Sydney and an agreement was made that Sydney automatically got the nod for 2000 and only if that failed Melbourne would try again for 2004.

The other cities could have easily have been close to the 80% or even 90% mark. After all, they aren't bidding on their own for any Olympics and by supporting as much as possible, they would be involved in the Olympics in a greater scope, like the torch relay or football preliminaries or both.

In all honesty it didn't even look like 3 bid books. Yeah they had the same green lather but the main one was whats on eBay now. All the others were black and white. That said I am probably wrong and they were full of information to help support the bid whilst that was merely a main summary etc

I'll wait for a re-list, might go for cheaper by then.

Did the sports book have technical diagrams? I know Melbourne's and Sydney's did, as did other bidding cities sports book.

Any chance to lower or completely remove costs? Or maybe just a small annual subscription fee similar to here?

I'm not dissing about the costs, I get why they're there, but considering the old bid library had similar stuff uploaded for free, surely this can do something similar?
