Prediction for big Tokyo quake

I am currently studying disasters. Earthquake prediction is hard! There has only been one earthquake ever to be correctly predicted. If the IOC were going to shy away from disasters, it reduced the list of candidates.

Yes, Tokyo was just as much of a risk for a large earthquake when it hosted in '64. If the IOC never awarded host cities a Games based on risk for natural disasters than we would have a very limited pool of cities to choose from.

Hahahaha agree with this post, If the IOC choose the host based on natural risk, then really the Africa is the one that will always get the games , they are the most secure continent in the world

Of course, those huge earthquakes such as a year ago are always a problem. But very much depends on whether you are well prepared and I don't see any problems with this in Tokyo. Apart from that I don't think that the IOC cares too much. We have seen games in Los Angeles and Mexico City and of course also in Tokyo itself.
