TorchbearerSydney Posted November 22, 2021 Report Posted November 22, 2021 Interesting- were there seats removed (on the right side)? Do they have the names of the Olympic Champions (1964 and 2020) on the wall outside like they used to? Quote

As for the plate of 1964,it is installed permanently where people cannot easily find. 1 Quote

That is probably NOT a wise idea for any O host city now because the winners -- espeiclally Athletics are NOT finalized until 8-9 yers down the road. Remember, the IOC and WADA are still re-awarding many medals from London 2012 to those found doping by the cheating Russians. So, certainly, any smart stadium will NOT be engraving names of Olympic "winners" on their walls so long as those are still in flux and the jury is out. Palette86 Posted April 25, 2022 Report Posted April 25, 2022 Cauldron of Tokyo 2020ne will be permanently displayed in a place of outer periphery of National stadium. And 953 nameplates in total. Quote
yoshi Posted April 25, 2022 Report Posted April 25, 2022 That really was a very pretty cauldron. Hopefully Soyoshi can visit it, then hopefully it'll be relit when Tokyo gets to host a full strength Olympics. The IOC should never forget how much they owe Tokyo and Japan. 1 1 Quote

He says now it's your turn to do the same for Paris 2024. If you really want my tricolor yoshis then PM me. Quote
