Medal Tally

I have no idea how we could manage this in a medal count.....

Tomorrow is the last day in Innsbruck. We could post a medal count and than post another table with points (3 points for gold, 2 points for silver, 1 point for bronze), so it would be 2.5 points more for China, 1.25 for GB and so on.

Except that weighting suggests 2 silvers are worth more than one gold.....

Might be better to say:

Bronze 1

Silver 2

Gold 5

Oh alright then, but I see read on twitter we've just won a silver in the bob sleigh. That's Team GB's surely?!

Yes, now it is. It was the two-women's bobsleigh, gold and bronze went to the Netherlands. The men's bobsleigh was won by Italy, followed by Austria and Monaco's first and only medal at this YOWG.

Sorry, the "Italy" with 2 gold and 2 silver medals has to be a "Finland". And does anybody know who participated at the Mixed NOC team Figure Skating event? on innsbruck2012.com you can only see which team has one, but not the team members.

In the following table each country gets 5 points for a gold medal, 2 points for a silver medal and 1 point for a bronze one. The Curling Mixed Doubles and the 3000m Short Track Mixed NOC Relay are included, the Mixed NOC Figure Skating event isn't because I couldn't find the team members...

Wow in question of 2 days Germany has surpased China and tops the medal tally, the same in the real WOG, and you still doubt if Germany deserves WOG ;)

Some countries havent yet any olympic medal, but in YOG already have, Andorra and Monaco, for example... Also Guatemala has a bronce in shooting but they won it Singapore 2010, we hope London 2012 will be the first ;)

For a while there, I thought China was going to be 2 for 2 in YOGs. Kind of tells you something about their national sports program. A new "international sports Cold War" here?
