DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 I started to take pictures as an amateur photographer and since then I observed photography is something everybody loves, so I decided to start a thread here where everyone from the threads could post ONE pic from the city/town where lives. I hope this can bring us beautiful and different landscapes that our fellow friends here see often and also and bring the people here more closer! Post your pics and show your places! DannyelBrazilSão Vicente, São Paulo state, Brazil Actually I took this picture

DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Halifax - I heard lots about your city when I was teenagers, since I had a pen pal who lived in Nova Scotia, sadly, I can't remember her city... But her best friend was from Comeauville.
Gangwon Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Wellington looks NICE!! I'm from Toronto, but that's overplayed, so I'm going with my folks' birthplace in Seoul. And going back hundreds of years, my ancestral roots deep in the heart of North Korea:
Sir Rols Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Here's how I used to go to work every morning up until a few years ago: Here's how i go to work now (it's even the same bus I take, route 426)
DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 This is where I work (the building of my company appears in this picture), and I work at late night, so, I can see the bridge from the office's window. Nice! Berrini-Centro Empresarial Area, São Paulo, Brazil
baron-pierreIV Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Exterior... The smoking room...

Nice! Berrini-Centro Empresarial Area, São Paulo, Brazil Looks like Miss Universe scene
DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Actually the Miss Universe scenery was based in Sao Paulo landscape, since it was held in...........Sao Paulo!
Soaring Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Here is a picture of Yonge-Dundas square of Toronto: Funny, if you didn't say anything, I would have thought that picture was taken in an Asian city.
Faster Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 The Sears and English wasn't a dead giveaway for a North American city? That is the main square of Brantford, the podunk craphole I am from.
cormiermax Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 I heard lots about your city when I was teenagers, since I had a pen pal who lived in Nova Scotia, sadly, I can't remember her city... But her best friend was from Comeauville. Very cool Was she French? Comeauville is an Acadian village.
Soaring Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 The Sears and English wasn't a dead giveaway for a North American city? Well, yeah, but Tokyo has English words printed in places. I meant by the lighting style of the Christmas tree.
Rob2012 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Oh, nice idea for a thread: Our house two years ago in the snow: And, not my photo (obviously), but a photo of my town back in the '50s
DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Very cool Was she French? Comeauville is an Acadian village. Well, Natalie Comeau... Curiously I remember more about the frined of my pen pal than my pen pal herself!!! How can be?
mattygs Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Where I live, Mt Maunganui (the Mount). Actually, my house is right next that 2nd green hilly area in the pic.
DannyelBrazil Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Very cool Was she French? Comeauville is an Acadian village. Curiously, checking in Google Maps if I could remember the name of the town my pen pal was living at that time, I found a community nearby in Yarmouth County called Brazil Lake!!! Now I love Nova Scotia even more! Yeah, found a letter here. It was Lisa from Saulnierville!!!
Olympian2004 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Gosh! You guys posted such beautiful and sometimes even bombastic (especially in your case, Baron ) pictures that I do not dare to post pictures of my home town now. Does everyone here live in big cities or in towns with a stunning surrounding? My home town Haan is pretty unspectacular, a town of 30,000 inhabitants crammed between the big cities of Düsseldorf, Wuppertal and Solingen in the densely-populated Rhine-Ruhr region. It has no beautiful lagoons or mountains, no spectacular buildings and right now not even snow which would be a nice backdrop for photos. But nevertheless, it's my home town. So I dare it and show what it looks like here: This is a popular restaurant in my home town, serving traditional German food. It's a slate house typical for the "Bergisches Land", the region on whose edge Haan is situated. And this is the Evangelic church in which I was christened and confirmed -- and in which I'll attend, as every year, the Christmas Mass on the late evening of December 24, the "Heiligabend" on which here in Germany the main Christmas celebrations take place.
intoronto Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Nice pics all! Here is more from T.O
