baron-pierreIV
Great pics there, 8.5/10 I loved everthing, except the irresponsible athletes, they where diffcult to control, it was a mistake of the director to have them during the act. Finally, a man after my own heart!! Si, olymprefer, esos atletas son my iresponsables y expendables. They just slow things down in a ceremony. Time to get rid of them. They can just watch it from the village or a local bar.

BTHarner
Yeah, that would be like throwing a birthday party and not inviting the person celebrating the birthday. The athletes are what this is all about, although I agree they have gotten a little out of hand and wish they would show the decorum of the old days. olympic1982
Well, I only can say one thing. There were IOC members (around 30 or 40) that attended the Opening of Guadalajara 2011. I had the opportunity to talk with them about their impressions of the opening, and they said me that the ceremony was just amazing and the best in all the Pan Ams, and, by the way, curiously around 50 % of them told me that Guadalajara was more impressive that Vancouver 2010. I trust them because of, obviously, they have witnessed onlive (not as us, that in almost all the cases ,we only watch on TV) all the Openings and Closing Ceremonies, and because they told me their bads and goods impressions of Guadalajara directly and honestly. Hmmmmmm. Interesting. But, of course, if you're Mexican; they would only be diplomatic with you. And maybe these IOC'ers are more summer folks rather than Winter ones, so they're entitled to their opinions. ANd I would not say, from what I saw, that one is better than the other. They were two rather DIFFERENT ceremonies..so it's really apples and oranges. Both were colorful and unique in their own ways.
