Sir Rols
fast improving country, will be serious contender in future Could very well be. Even if they didn't make the short list, they were sure a surprise packet in the early stages of the 2020 race. And when they get their inaugural Euro Games under their belt ... And when they get their inaugural Euro Games under their belt ... yes, and i really appriciate their efforts but ofc, everything is easy when you have money anyway, this is another region where IOC can open their door after EuroGames and possibly Universiade they will get huge expirience in hosting
pcelica
Ps. I would give Baku organization, but only after they stop to buy athletes
Lord David
Buying athletes? Have you confused Baku with a nearby city which also bid for 2016 and 2020? That being Doha? Azerbaijan surely has home grown talent (and the medals to prove it has, although a short history, the sporting credentials to host), whereas Qatar only has a mere handful, buying athletes from abroad and forcing them to have Arabic names and practice Islam.
