Yeah, it is looking good. And that greenery is starting to appear. Amazing how you can plant palm trees pretty quickly.

I'm also surprised.

I can say I regret my criticism of the Olympic Park. The latest images , mainly from TV Globo video show that the place was beautiful!

I don't the outdoors of the Olympic Park still looks hideously overly grey, and the greenery currently thrown in there doesn't have that large of a effect on it to me. The park only looks good in retouched photos that have colors highlighted so that it drowns out some grey and white.

It's not a very inviting olympic park. I thought London looked amazing with the lake, greenery and trees as well as the colourful bouncy walkway. From the pictures I have seen so far it still looks very grey and they central curved walkway needs more. But it will be interesting to see how it works and feels when in Barra.

I agree that the Barra park is not that inviting... It lacks gardens and trees. However, let's not forget that Rio's Olympic parks are actually divided into 4 clusters. The Deodoro Olympic Park, for example, happens to have lots of trees and colourful arenas. But yeah, Barra one could be better.

What is that building on the red pad? Something makes me want to say it's the Tokyo 2020 pavillion, but I feel that would be closer to Copacabana
