thatsnotmypuppy
You ask - you get. And I'll be around to finish this off! Welcome to the applicant phase for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. The committee calls for applicants for these Summer Games by June 12, 2011. By the above date you are required to state your intention to bid and provide a 2 or 3 page ‘applicant document’ that must include the following – 1. Your logo and slogan 2. A basic map outlining your venue plan as well as a list of these venues and their Games time capacity 3. A brief summary of the compelling reason your bid should progress 4. Any additional information you feel needs to be included to bring you through to the candidate phase The applicant document cannot exceed this length and can be posted at any time up until June 12 either by directly posting on the forum or by emailing to nyc2012@gmail.com – after which it will be uploaded for you. Make sure you put 2024 Applicant File in the subject line of the email as the committee has a finely tuned spam filter (provided by the good people of Korea!). Your venue plan MUST have at least 75% of venues existing as of 2016. Thus any projects currently planned can be included and must be marked as ‘existing’. If there are more than one city from a single nation a domestic vote will be held amongst the committee and its core voting members – the ‘executive committee’ if you will. (In reality I will probably message Rols, Faster and CAF for their opinion, will over-rule those opinions and put NYC through regardless of whether or not NYC is bidding). Bids from London, Rio, Beijing, Athens, Sydney and Atlanta will not be accepted. I also request that any submissions from Istanbul, Paris or any of the most recent bidding nations differ from their legitimate bids. Oh – and Tulsa, Minneapolis and Abuja are not allowed. The second leg will be a candidate phase that will require a 10 page brochure that you can fill any way you like. It is more of a sales brochure than an indepth bid book. A shortlist (if needed) will be determined via the now much anticipated ‘applicant report’. So claim your city now.

But if you really do want to bow out and change, then by all means. PS. Being in the city means nothing really, but having the 1996 Bid files does. Lord David
MY ENTRY Interesting logo, though I'd suspect you'd need to make Kuala Lumpur and 2024 more legible, perhaps written underneath the initials, above "applicant city" using that font?. DamC
It looks like the logo unveiled yesterday was a fake. In facts, the Boston bidding committee selected the logo in list a proposition (and the Big Star logo was one of the loosers) The real logo is this one :

You need to send through a 3 page document outlining why your city should host the Games with a map showing all your venues.
