'Kandahar' downhill is safe

Great news and a real boost for Munich! I am very often a sceptical person, but meanwhile I think Munich has a real chance. Witt will sway the votes to her.

Good for Munich... not so good for us...

However, it's better to compete on the sport field.

That's exactly the type of good news story to have, at the right time, to start to ramp up the positive coverage in the home stretch. I'll be watching for more such positive announcements.

Only ony piece of land is safe, a lot of important different pieces aren't available for the games yet (says the lawywer of the landowners) - for example there are still problems with a piece of land for the halfpipe.

let's wait and see how it will work out - you can always find other possibilities...

May be you find other possibilities, may be not! Fact is: The Germans do NOT have 100% of the land they need, the Koreans have 100%. Would you like to invest 6 MRD Dollars in a project, what is such risky?

well, "Korea" has 100%, since the area where the Winter Olympics should be held is owned by a single company...

Narita airport in Japan or Now situation in Garmisch is impossible in Korea. Korea and Germany is different. If driving any policies for public projects in Korea, residents must sell the private property for public projects. The residents can't resist it. Germany is a democratic society more than Korea. There is no problem to the Olympics host even if still have a few problems on the land, according to information I have.

Of course there are a lot of problems, which aren't published yet. F.e. the packets of land, which aren't available for the Olympic games in Munich.

55.000 m² owned by 12 landowners -important for the games (for example for the halfpipe) aren't available.

For german speakinig readers here the letter of the landowner's lawyer Seitz

I'm astonished that you have access to a pdf-file of a letter of a lawyer - was that published?

Furthermore are two things interesting concerning the letter:

- it was written after the NOlympia-movement lost their referendum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

- it was written before the agreement with the Kandahar landowner
