baron-pierreIV Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 OK, 75 days away, it's time for the Official Round One/Final Vote guestimates: My 1st round/final votes: Antsy - 8 votes Munich - 42 votes PyeongChang - 52 votes
Faster Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 It will not be a first round victory. Not with Fasel and Kaspar so heavily against going to Korea. Annecy will probably range in the 15 to 25 votes Munich in the 30 to 35 Pyeongchange in the 35 to 40. If Salzburg without much IOC clout can garner 25 votes for 2014, Annecy with more IOC clout (and a shitter bid) can manage about the same.

It's irritating, there are only stupid members on gamesbids ? without arguments? Look the bid book...
Soaring Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 My best guess is Annency takes it in the first round. No one can dispute the excellency of their bid... Now being honest, I say 20 for Annency, 35 for Munich, and 50 for PC. It will be a closer 2nd round, but PC will finally eke out a victory.
neige Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 a shitter bid What does that mean? What does premium member mean?
Tulsa Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 First Round : 32 to PC 36 to Annecy 37 to Munich 2nd round 56 Annecy 49 Munich
baron-pierreIV Posted April 19, 2011 Author Report Posted April 19, 2011 It's irritating, there are only stupid members on gamesbids ? Yet you hang around us, T. YOU LOVE US HERE!!
Sir Rols Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 It's irritating, there are only stupid members on gamesbids ? Not everybody - but you've been doing your best to raise those numbers. Forgive me, that was mean. But there's a fine line between stupidity and just blind obstinacy. Anyway, too early for me to wanna make any real predictions about the vote. But, for wishful thinking sake, I'll make an early guess of: Annecy - 20 Votes Munich - 40 PC - 42
wingspread Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Look the bid book... One of the first things I learned from the GamesBids forums (and what a life-changing realization that was) is that the most technically sound bids (based on the bid books) don't often win. I've come to accept the fact that it's more of a carefully planned PR game with a bit of luck and timing thrown in. Anyway, I think PC will get the most number of votes in the first round, with Munich not far behind. What I'm looking forward to is where the first-round Annecy votes will go to. I have a feeling Munich will get most of them and pull off a narrow win over PC.
nature Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Particular media seem to be support a particular city They blatantly biased reporting, even distort the facts. Particular media has received a bribe from particular city. Particular media and city : I can't say.
Sir Rols Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Particular media and city : I can't say. Yeah, right. And it's not hard to guess who'd you mean. It's natural that home town media will support their local bid. It's not bias - it's highlighting what's of interest to your home audience.
nature Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 home town media will support their local bid. I mean foreign media.
Athan Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Annecy - 25 Munich - 35 PyeongChang - 42 But it's still soon to guess. PyeongChang might win this 1st round much clearer...

gotosy Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Schedule Set for 2018 Olympic Announcement. My questions : Presentation order Munich - Annecy - Pyeongchang. Why are always the same? The IOC drew lots to determine the order of presentation early in 2009
nature Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 The IOC drew lots to determine the order of presentation early in 2009 Thanks for Information.

neige Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Annecy - 29 Munich - 35 PC - 38 10 weeks away...if we take 1 vote per week, everything is still possible
FYI Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 ^you've got to be kidding. Annecy will be lucky to muster half that amount.
Faster Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 ^you've got to be kidding. Annecy will be lucky to muster half that amount. There will be a lot of sympathy votes and sandbagging me thinks. Just like with Tokyo, Salzburg and Istanbul.
