17) TELEMARK SKIING (a sport overseen by the FIS)

18) NATURAL TRACK LUGE (a sport overseen by the FIL [Olympic-level luge currently is done on artificial tracks])

Both freestyle and snowboarding slopestyle events are undergoing further study before potential inclusion into the 2014 Winter Olympics and beyond. The team event in alpine skiing was rejected last week, but the FIS is persisting on its addition. Big air will not likely make the Olympic program unless a women's component is introduced and successful on the World Cup circuit. I assume, however, that women do something similar to big air at the X-Games.
