My mind is made up. I absolutely love the simplicity of the London stadium. These latest pictures just make me smile. I have always been a bit unsure up to this stage but now I can appreciate what a beatuiful stadium it is. Can't wait for the wrap.

Wow, that picture is amazing (apparently it's from the SEGA game, right?). If I were British, i'd be damn proud of my country now -- such an amazing stadium and such an amazing sports event in one's home country. On a side note: We talked about the visual identity of the London Games because some criticised that the look of the Games is too generic -- but now just look at that typically British "chessboard" pattern in the grass. I call that a visual identity as well. ;)

Something else: Apparently no one really noticed the Youtube clip daveb81 posted yesterday. I think that that one is amazing as well. I find it particularly interesting that they still do projections on the wrap in that video, although I thought that this is impossible because the wrap will consist of those triangular stripes and thus won't be like a neat and uninterrupted screen. And it's also interesting that they had purple has the side fence colour inside the stadium already then, in 2009 (when that video was apparently made).

I think it is not that people did not notice the video Dave posted but rather they chose to ignore it since most of us saw it a couple of years ago and know that it is no longer accurate to what is being down with the outside of the stadium... Simply put, that video is quite outdated and inaccurate...

done, not down

So I'm not "a true Olympic die-hard" just because I missed one video on this huge forum? ;)

...? No..? I don't recall saying that... I believe the implication of my statement was that I am not an olympic die-hard like some others on here but happened to see it a while back... and I am not certain whether or not I had seen it here or elsewhere... I just said that I remember seeing the video, and made no comment as to origin...

I take it shorts aren't a common sight in London? I was expecting to be getting round in my shorts on my visit! Wouldn't wear anything else in summer.

Me too! I've already started pilates so I'll be in top short-short conditions!

Hey guys, so I was looking around for some images for a work presentation I have to do with regard to The Olympic Effect (T.O.E) on the business, (we are a summer English Language School with 4 schools in Central London each with 400 students lol) and I came across this picture, couldn't work out if its a mock up or not, but does feature new things in the area still under construction (the warm up track)...anyway looked cool so thought i'd share...sorry if it was posted elsewhere
