gotosy Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 Sapporo, Obihiro named 2017 Winter Asiad co-hosts Tuesday 01st February, 03:03 AM JST ASTANA, Kazakhstan — The Olympic Council of Asia decided Monday that the Japanese cities of Sapporo and Obihiro will co-host the 2017 Asian Winter Games. The OCA General Assembly approved them as there were no other candidates. Japanese Olympic Committee President Tsunekazu Takeda signed a hosting contract for the eighth Asian Winter Games in place of the cities’ representatives. Sapporo hosted the first two editions of the Asian Winter Games in 1986 and 1990. gotosy Posted July 14, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 14, 2011 Tokyo, Japan: The OCA will be heading back to Japan in 2017 for the 8th Asian Winter Games, and organisers gave a brief outline of the host city and provisional sports programme at the 30th OCA General Assembly in Tokyo on Thursday. The 8th AWG will be held in Sapporo, host of the 1972 Winter Olympics and 1986 and 1990 Asian Winter Games, and in Obihiro, a specialist venue for speed skating. Although the dates have not been finalised, it is planned to have seven competition days somewhere between January 21 and February 19, using five venues. There will be 11 disciplines in five sports: biathlon, curling, ice hockey, skating and skiing. Wheres the Luge, Skeleton and Bobsleigh? India would win gold for all we know in Men's luge Ski orenteering and Bandy it was included in order to obtain lot of medals only for Kazakhstan. The shape of the sun is almost like that of Uruguay's or Argentina's national flag. It also resembles the mark on the right top in this page,search......>Forums>magnifying glass>a mark for advanced research,this is it.
