@SportNow786542 Posted May 20 Report Share Posted May 20 At least the 2023 Basketball World Cup in the Philippines, Japan & Indonesia had a much better, yet understandable trophy-and-numeral logo, with both the '23' (or likely sometimes the 'B'-letter) and the Naismith Trophy are being depicted in the form of a heart - it signifies the three Asian nations' love and passion for basketball, and to me, it symbolizes the value of 'Puso', a Filipino meaning for 'heart'. But I understand why that gets used because it's, as mentioned just earlier, easier to unite the three co-hosting nations, each with its own distinct national characteristics despite some commonalities, under a bland moniker that can redesigned to suit individual host cities in multiple colors within the 26 numbermark design. But even some of those can be more creative.
