fusilli Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 Maybe a bit brutal at first sight but I don't dislike the rendition. I agree it has potential. Quote
yoshi Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 Any sign of these host city logos? I guess they'll just be infills for the block numbers but it'll still be interesting to see how they work that way. Must say I like the fonts & colour scheme, & they're the main bits of this, what'll be on display around the tournament. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 Here are some from 14 out of 16 have already got their host city logos. Atlanta: Boston: Dallas: Houston: Kansas City: Los Angeles: Mexico City: New York/New Jersey: Philadelphia: San Francisco: Seattle: Toronto: Vancouver: Quote
SportLightning Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 The only two cities left, Guadalajara and Monterrey in Mexico have yet to release their host city logos. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 We are waiting for Guadalajara to get their brand unveiled. Quote
yoshi Posted May 18, 2023 Report Posted May 18, 2023 How come some of them get to have intricate designs in the numbers, and others have to put up with solid block colours? Seems unfair...it works a lot better with infills like LA & Philly, a bit like London 2012. The World Cup always looks a little awkward though as just a stock image plastered on the middle - I like the idea of using the 2002 representation instead. Quote
TorchbearerSydney Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 If anything that the individual logos look even worse...look at the NY one, does it say anything about NY/The US/ Football? It is so all cheap and crude. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 I really forgot about that when i was working a post. 1 Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 We are still waiting for Guadalajara and Monterrey. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 https://www.facebook.com/MonterreyFWC26/videos/809301210140926 Monterrey is about to reveal their host city brand. Guadalajara will be the last city to reveal their own host city brand. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 The Guadalajara host city brand was unveiled. The Guadalajara host city logo is on the right. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 And last but not least, Monterrey. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 All 16 host cities have their own host city brand now for 2026. Quote
SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 The road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Canada-Mexico-USA is just the beginning. We'll see you soon for the qualifiers on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Canada-Mexico-USA. Quote
FYI Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 “If anything that the individual logos look even worse…look at the NY one, does it say about NY/the U.S./Football?” Well, no. Why would it, when “football” here is totally something else. Quote
baron-pierreIV Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 (edited) Will there be 3 mascots? Well, this WC 2026 logo is a lot more creative than Milano-Cortina's UTTERLY DUMB one, considering they're Italian! I wonder how many cities first picked Red; then blue -- and then were told they're going to have to raffle off the secondary choice colors?? Edited May 19, 2023 by baron-pierreIV Quote

SportLightning Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 Los Angeles and Monterrey had some good host city emblems. Quote
Sir Rols Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 Is it just me, or is Atlanta’s a subtle nod to its Olympic look and colours? Apart from that, a pretty dull and uninspiring lot IMO. Fail. 1 Quote
