The part with piano and Zhang Ziyi singing was to honour the achievement of the 30 years of opening of China.

The Guangdong Province was the very first place to start the economic reform, and Guangzhou was the very first city to adopt opening policy (at that time the policy was still banned by the central government, so they were rally risking their own politcial life).

Nice! Drummers enter the stage (with the Asian Games red sun emblem, as opposed to the Olympic Rings, on their drums) as what would possibly be the Games' cauldron emerged. Peoples from across Asia entered the stage and danced, untimately form the red sun and the Guangzhou Asian Games logo.

Now the song "Sunshine Again" is sung by a group of singers, namely Kim Hyun Joong and three others (all of these others Chinese).

Can anyone identify these three?

One from Mainland China, one from Taiwan and one from Hong Kong

Btw i like that they're using traditional music of each country...if only Beijing 2008 had decent parade music <_<

I suppose it was more practical here because each team is larger. Most contingents to the Olympics are far too small to play their respective music long enough. :)

Anyway it was a fairly warm welcome for South Korea. ;)

Another roar for Macau, China!
