runningrings
Colours look alright, if not a tiny bit boring.
JMarkSnow2012
Colours look alright, if not a tiny bit boring. I suspect that there has been a conscious effort not to be too similar to that 2012 event which I dare not name. Also, on reflection- the colours are roughly as in the tartan, which makes sense. Olympic Fan Darcy
Jessica Mauboy to perform during the handover ceremony from Glasgow to Gold Coast! JESSICA Mauboy will turn 25 in front of a televised audience of one billion people when she performs at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Flag Handover Ceremony in August. Yesterday Mauboy was announced as the star of a 10-minute segment to feature as part of the formal “handing over” of the Commonwealth Games from Glasgow to the Gold Coast. http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/jessica-mauboy-will-turn-25-in-front-of-one-billion-tv-viewers-at-glasgow-2014-commonwealth-games-flag-handover-ceremony/story-fnihsrf2-1226922004941

Scotguy
You’re in safe hands, the team producing The Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games are super experienced, combing talents from across Scotland with global expertise. Glasgow 2014 are working with Jack Morton Worldwide, an international events company, who also produced the Ceremonies for Manchester 2002, Melbourne 2006 as well as the Athens Olympics and the 2010 World Cup. Scotguy
I have been asked by one of my friends who works at the organising committee if I would be a team attache for one of the countries. i must say the offer is very tempting as I would receive infinity access to all sports and venues. But I only arrive in the city a week before the games start so may be a bit tight, and may require alot more work than I might want to do whilst on holiday. What do you guys think? And it's great experience, both personally and to have on your resume if you ever want to get involved in some sporting event in some capacity again.
