Scotguy Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) I have just bought a ticket to the Closing Ceremony in Delhi, I wasn't going to but i really want to experience the handover ceremony for Glasgow as I will be at these games as well, but with all of the carry on of late, should i stay or should I go? Sir Rols Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Depending on how flexible your air ticket is, I guess at least you'll be able to see how it progresses over the first wee or so before you make up your mind. If I had tickets, I'd probably go.

Mhmm Meh, though it is a lot of hassel because India requires visas for pretty much everything. I flew to Denver and back in one day to see a hockey game. So.... Sir Rols Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I've done quick weekend jaunts to HK and Japan. I just try to time it so the flights are overnight. And that's for pleasure. I've done quick one-day fly-in-fly-out work trips to the likes of the US as well. The main prob is jetlag.

I agree, if I really want to have a holiday somewhere new and get a feel for a place, I prefer to linger and not want to pack too much in. But jetting in and out for a single event, or a quick trip to somewhere, is a fair enough option as well ... if that's your thing.

Got to remember it's the village that has the problems, not the venues which have really been 'shined up' over the last week. Apparently over 3000 cleaners are at work in the village now!

We'd rather see you waving your flag around than wrestling a snake.
