Torch Bearer500 0
Hello all, This has probably been answered in the past, but as I'm new to "collecting" Olympic logos and I have two questions as to the meaning behind two former bid logos. First what is the meaning behind the 1998 Nagano bid logo? To me it looks like the roof of some sort of fast food establishment. Secondly what is the meaning behind the 2010 Pyeongchang bid logo? Other bid logos I have been able to either deduce the meaning on my own or have found a description on-line, however for these two I have come up blank. Thank you in advance for any assitance that is provided.
mattygs 274
Hey there. Well, I think the 2010 logo is based around the concept of sun, mountain and the coastline/ocean. I guess it can also resemble a person aswell. As for the Nagano 98 bid logo, I havent really ever seen a description of what it is supposed to be. I am guessing though that it is probably some kind of stylised view of Zenkoji temple, which is by far the most famous landmark of Nagano, again, probably also doubles as a mountain.
