Dinhu4ever Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Rio's got a nod in this week's Doctor Who episode! This is the second time after the Christ appearing in the season premiere! Poor Amy and Rory, instead of the sunshine and carnival vibe they were hoping for, all they got was some small welsh hamlet, with weird grass and lizard folks!
Rogerioandrade Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Interesting. It seems to be a fun movie.
Cauê Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Very glad to see you again, Cauê. Thanks, my brother :okay:
Cauê Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Rio is a great setting for world cinema. The French comedy 'OSS 117' (Very Good) Website: http://www.oss117.fr/ Poster of 'Rio, Eu Te Amo", the current city of the world project 'Cities of Love' My Marvelous and Olympic City... I Love.
Athan Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 So the character have a big disappointment (generally caused by a mistake made by someone he/she/it loves/admire/respects) And this is always the most boring part of a film. You think everything is going to be OK but, suddenly, it's like the film starts again, without action or excitement. That's why I like films like "National Treasure", where this moment practically doesn't exist. Well, I won't miss this film, Ice Age was good and this one seems to be similar. I suppose the version of "Mas que nada" by Sergio Mendes ft. The Black Eyed Peas will be part of its soundtrack, at least during the end titles.
DannyelBrazil Posted September 17, 2010 Author Report Posted September 17, 2010 Well, "Fast and Furious 5 - Rio de Janeiro" was confirmed and indeed, the cars that will be used in the movie were unveiled. http://bit.ly/ads0Ai The sinposis was unveiled too: Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they've blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey... before someone else runs them down first. Amazing!!! Rio is getting more and more used as scenario for movies... This is great for the city! =]
Antonio Junior Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 In this case Dannyel, the movie was shot in Puerto Rico.
DannyelBrazil Posted September 22, 2010 Author Report Posted September 22, 2010 In this case Dannyel, the movie was shot in Puerto Rico. Yes, the pursuits have been recorded there. I read this today. Again, stupid bureaucracy might have done its work and made Puerto Rican movie market happy. How I hate the Brazilian politicians!

Texas Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 With the possible exception of George Lopez, this movie looks pretty good. Could be this year's version of "How to Train Your Dragon." It would be nice for a change to see the film premiere in Rio and not in New York and Los Angeles, although I'm sure the stars of the film will be down there to promote this movie.
baron-pierreIV Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 With the possible exception of George Lopez, this movie looks pretty good. Could be this year's version of "How to Train Your Dragon." I LIKED that one; altho from the clips, this one is more animal-intensive and is a LOT more colorful.
Bezzi Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 It would be nice for a change to see the film premiere in Rio and not in New York and Los Angeles The premiere will be in Rio. They are making a promotion to distribute free trips. http://www.facebook.com/riothemovie

Although if there is anything that I don't think even Brazilian police can control its screaming pre-teen/teen girls who like their vampires effeminate and their wolf boys shirtless.

Texas Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 The premiere will be in Rio. They are making a promotion to distribute free trips. http://www.facebook.com/riothemovie Oh good lord. That means that George Lopez will be doing jokes comparing Mexicans to Brazilians. That's going to suck.
Cauê Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 There is a project named "Rio, city of cinema": This project wants to make Rio one of the most filmed cities in the world, like NY, LA, Paris and London. http://colunistas.ig.com.br/consumoepropaganda/2011/02/23/rio-cidade-de-cinema/
