Citius Altius Fortius
Strange to see Hertha go down after a great season last year. It is a pitty that Berlin hasn't a 1. Bundesliga club in the next season and I hope Hertha Berlin or FC Union Berlin will come into the Bundesliga again next year!!! Yes, it is interesting - the most interesting thing is that right after the season 2008/2009 some people said that Hertha will get into trouble, since they sold a lot of good players but didn't buy other ones... Another thing is quite interesting: Hannover made it to stay in the 1. Bundesliga - the club "lost" a third of the season due the suicide of Robert Enke and its aftermaths - today the showed a banner with "Robert - R.I.P." after the match vs. Bochum, in which the club made it to stay in the 1st devision with a very good match today... Rob2012
I remember Kaiserslautern knocking Spurs out of the UEFA cup a few years ago. Seems they've gone downhill since then.
Citius Altius Fortius
I remember Kaiserslautern knocking Spurs out of the UEFA cup a few years ago. Seems they've gone downhill since then. Kaiserslautern is a phenomen: the club made it to win the German championships in 1998 as "newbie" - in the previous season the club played in the second devision... In 2006 the club had to go to the second devision again - four seasons later Kaiserslautern is in the first devision again...

4gamesandcounting
FIFA was pulling their hair out over it oo interesting. why? which other stadiums in germany were they worried about and why?
Citius Altius Fortius
the stadium had to be changed and the construction company went bancrupt - the 1. FC Kaiserslautern had financial problems too therewith the club had to sell the stadium - furthermore there were technical problems with the changings... And the capacity was reduced from 48,000 to 46,
Faster
oo interesting. why? which other stadiums in germany were they worried about and why? They weren't worried about the stadium, it was the city. Kaiserslautern was far too small to host World Cup matches and it caused incredible congestion during game-days. FIFA was not pleased. The reason it was chosen because the other option (Dusseldorf) was in a state that already had 3 venues.
4gamesandcounting
So they now don't own their own stadium - that's horrible.
Citius Altius Fortius
mhh - there are some more stadiums in Germany, which are not owned by the clubs: - the Olympic Stadium in Berlin is owned by the state Berlin - the Nuremberg Stadium is owned by the city and many other stadiums are owned by special Stadiums Ltds. Many players of the team of 54 came from that region. They gave the stadium the name of the captain of 54, Fritz Walter.
