Pretty awsome to see the gaming culture get some recognition two years in a row (Miyamoto last years and Penny Arcade this year). Tough, in all honesty, those list really don't mean all that much, its 120% subjective. I'm also surprise that neither Stephen Colbert nor Rain are on it ^^'.

I only recognized barely a dozen names!

How are Oprah Winfrey and Simon Cowell artists and how is Serena Williams a hero?

I like to see president of Brazil Lula being one of them (and the first bio on the list website), and former mayor of Curitiba, Jaime Lerner, among them too,

but this list have lots of "weird" choices...

Sarah Palin as an influential leader and the President of China don't??? C'mon...

Okay, Lula does not need to be on the same list as Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Nancy Pelosi or even Scott Brown. He deserves better than that. Take off Palin, Beck, Pelosi (who's had too much botox) and Brown and I'd replace those hacks with Merkel and Hu.

Taking you comment, I can see now that this list reflects the influence according an American vision, which is valid since Time is an American magazinesmile.gif

But even for USA, I think Hu Jintao is an influential person... Well... With him out of list, I think Time wants to refuse the influnce of China in the USA economic issues now-a-days. #mediaconspiratiotheory? cool.gif
